Update:12/2019
So I got 3 orders for takeout and the two lamb dishes (Key Wot and Alicha Wot) are so over and chewy and my beef Key Wot is so over that the best way to describe it is rehydrated beef jerky. It's stringy and gritty. They should probably remove the "salad" from the dish because I mean it's literally only a square inch of lettuce and it doesn't transport well in the container. (Fork in photo for reference)
Hopefully this is just a unlucky miss and won't happen again but again this was $66 worth of food that just doesn't taste that great.

This place is really good. I just wish their dishes came with the lentils for $20+. Their depth and flavor really shines. Make sure to get their stews and you'll really enjoy it.
The place doesn't have much seating. 3 to 4 families can sit at a time. There was only one person who was serving, taking orders, managing the counter so the service was little slow but since I had time, I didn't mind.
Anyways, no complaints about the food. It was delicious, and huge portion, I couldn't finish. Had to take away the rest but my mouth still waters thinking about it. I would recommend this place for take out rather than dine in.
For dine in, they have the space but they need to improve few things.
I was very disappointed. I love Ethiopian food so much and I never thought this place would be this much of a disappointment. As soon as we arrived we knew right away we made a wrong decision by come to this restaurant. The restaurant was empty and there was no aroma of Ethiopian food upon arrival. The restaurant was cold and there was lack of soap in the bathrooms. We ordered our food and less than 10 minutes later the food came out. As soon as we saw the plated food, we knew for certain that the food will not be delicious. Everything on the plate was let over food that was served. The food was cold, flavorless, and not freshly made. We ate as much as our stomach could handle and left the rest of the food because it was too hard to finish. It was the first time ever eating at an Ethiopian restaurant and leaving left over food on the table. With that being said, I would not recommend this restaurant at all. We did not feel like we were eating at a restaurant nor eating the delicious flavors of Ethiopian cuisine.
Really excellent Ethiopian food with super fast and attentive service! We got the ultimate platter for 2 both times and EVERY item on it was delish!
Only drawbacks are that you don't get a lot of food for the price, and like others said, the injera is cold so it cools the food down pretty quickly. They also don't have a sign up after 6 months and it's very small and easy to walk by, so hopefully they'll boost their marketing a bit!
All the food was either room temperature or actually cold. Cold. Pretty bland as well. We were literally the only table there the entire time but service was abysmal. Won't be back. Especially with so many other ethiopian options in boston area.
Incredible Ethiopian cuisine. I have been to many Ethiopian restaurants up and down the east coast from DC, to NYC, and Boston ... Sheger is among the best - including the famed DC Adams Morgan restaurants. …
LACK OF INTEGRITY!!
UPDATE - we left our customer copy of bill at the table. The restaurant decided …
Great place for a quick bite. Must try their Baklava. Not a lot of drink options but had amazing vegetarian and vegan options. Must try their combo platter.
Simple Ethiopian cafe with great portions for the prices. Loved the vegetarian combo dish. The waiter was attentive and nice. Could have a little more flair but nothing to complain about!
The service was wonderful. Lentils are great. Beef had a lot of flavor but it was kind of dry.
